Nlyte DCIM Suite recognized by Smart Grid for the third time
Menlo Park, CA – June 21, 2012 – Nlyte Software, founded by data center professionals for data center professionals, announced today that the Nlyte DCIM Suite version 6.2 has received a Smart Grid 2011 Product of the Year Award. Smart Grid is sponsored by TMC, a global, integrated media company, and Crossfire Media, media company that builds communities.
Nlyte DCIM 6.2 is the first data center infrastructure management (DCIM) solution to provide large scale data center project lifecycle management. Nlyte DCIM project lifecycle management allows customers to auto-allocate hundreds of assets, easily create what-if models for any number and size of data center projects, automatically convert those models into actionable project plans with associated work orders, and predict the impact those projects have on the availability of power, space, cooling and connectivity.
Additional capabilities available in the Nlyte DCIM 6.2 release include expanded browser support for Safari on the Mac, ongoing support for French and enhanced cable visualization. The cable visualization features allow users to selectively show one or many levels of connectivity so they can rapidly navigate even the largest networks to trace connections and identify potential redundancy issues at a glance.
“Receiving the Smart Grid Award for the third time confirms Nlyte Software’s leadership in providing our customers with the tools to achieve better efficiency and reduce their carbon footprint in the data center. The Nlyte DCIM suite provides management control of moves, adds and changes, and the predictive intelligence to make more accurate capacity planning decisions. The result is a smarter, more efficient and highly available data center,” said Doug Sabella, president and CEO at Nlyte Software.
“SmartGrid.TMCnet.com is pleased to grant a 2011 Product of the Year Award to Nlyte Software for their Nlyte 6.2 release. Nlyte Software has demonstrated they are committed to quality as well as excellence while addressing real needs in the marketplace,” said Rich Tehrani, CEO at TMC. “We’re proud to recognize its accomplishments in the advancement of the smart grid technologies.”
