nlyte Software Suite Now Supports Extended Power Management and Forecasting Features
SAN DIEGO, CALIF. – July 20, 2009 – Global DataCenter Management (GDCM®), a leading provider of data center performance management solutions, is announcing general availability of a new release of its flagship data center performance management suite, nlyte®.
nlyte helps companies manage their data centers more efficiently by providing information to make informed decisions for the planning and effective management of data center assets and physical infrastructure. With nlyte, companies can reliably manage and forecast their capacities for space, power, cooling, and network connections to prevent service interruptions in today’s dynamic business environments.

New features in nlyte 5.1 include
Significantly Enhanced Power Management – Provides support for the entire power infrastructure, multi-phased power management and power strip details.
Multi-Dimensional Cabinet / Rack Management – Provides multi-dimensional front, rear and side views for cabinet mounted assets preventing collisions in cabinets that support front and rear mounting.
Improved Raised Floor Management – Provides usability improvements in the floor planner.
nlyte Installer – Provides organizations the ability to independently install, upgrade or patch the nlyte system making it easy to install the software and manage licenses for all nlyte components.
Improved Bulk Data Management (BDM) – Enables users to manage large volumes of data in one transaction, including complete power infrastructure and cabinet placement, reducing the time required to implement nlyte.
nlyte Integrator – Collects data from a wide variety of sources and enables real- time data to be presented and used in the daily operation of the data center.
In association with nlyte 5.1, GDCM is also releasing a new forecasting solution.
nlyte Forecasting Solution – Enables predictive analysis of future requirements for space and power capacity planning based on known changes and historical baselines. The forecasts are displayed graphically using Microsoft® SQL Server® Reporting Services and can be exported to Microsoft Excel® or Adobe® PDF files.
