Background
EU Code of Conduct Data Centres Endorser LogoThe Code of Conduct (CoC) was created in response to increasing energy consumption within data centers, and the need to reduce related environmental, economic and energy supply impacts. The aim is to inform and motivate data center operators and owners to reduce energy consumption in a cost-effective  manner, without hampering the mission critical function of the data centers.

The Code of Conduct aims to achieve this by improving understanding of energy demand within the data center, raising awareness, and recommending energy efficient best practices and targets. The Code of Conduct proposes general principles and practical actions to be followed by all parties involved in data centers operating in the EU, to result in more efficient and economic use of energy, without jeopardising the reliability and operational continuity of the services provided by data centers.

Our Commitment
nlyte Software is an endorser of the EU Code of Conduct for Data Centers.  We are committed to supporting the code and its Participants through the development of our products and services. The CoC has quickly gained tremendous support throughout the industry, and this continues to grow. It is our belief that it will not continue as a voluntary organization for many more years, as governments increase their focus on carbon reduction.

Organizations can sign the EU Code of Conduct for Data Centres as a Participant and/or as an Endorser.
