Next Generation Discovery Solution Now More Easily Deployed by ServiceNow Customers
SAN DIEGO, March 05, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Nlyte Software today announced it has received certification of its application with ServiceNow, available now in the ServiceNow Store. Certification by ServiceNow is only granted to apps available in the Store and signifies that Nlyte Asset Explorer has successfully completed a set of defined tests focused on Now Platform security, compatibility, performance, and integration interoperability. The certification also ensures that best practices are utilized in the design and implementation of Nlyte Asset Explorer with ServiceNow.
Nlyte Asset Explorer is a full solution that automatically collects and provides detailed information about every device connected to the network. The solution includes all the tools and technology to visualize the results of the discovered inventory of hardware, configuration, services/processes and applications/ software.
Nlyte Asset Explorer enables ServiceNow customers to automate the process of IT inventory discovery – linking assets to people to locations - through intelligent collection and normalization of asset information. It eliminates the manual steps in gathering and integrating asset information by automating the collection processes, thus reducing errors and cost. Scanning is built into the core architecture and provides the ability to not only collect IT data automatically but also to normalize and synchronize this data into the ServiceNow CMDB for completer and more accurate asset information. Nlyte Asset Explorer also provides the ability to reconcile between joint customers’ financial fixed asset systems and their dynamic IT asset baseline.
“With this latest certified integration with ServiceNow CMDB we can help organizations capture a rich set of information about assets on their network and seamlessly synchronize that into their change management systems,” said Gary Paquette, General Manager - Technology Asset Management, Nlyte. “This means roles like IT operations, compliance personnel and security teams that depend on the accuracy of their CMDB can get a more accurate view of their assets so they can perform their job functions more easily while keeping their organizations more secure and compliant.”
