Verizon Communications an American multinational telecommunications conglomerate with revenues exceeding $131B needed to Consolidate and Modernize their multiple data centers. Nlyte was initially used in the data centers of Verizon’s wireless division. Once they saw how beneficial it was they decided to expand it across all of the company’s compute facilities. While they benefit greatly from the basics of power and cooling management, they have been able to reduce their maintenance spending by accurately tracking assets. Space planning has been critical to their consolidation and modernization initiatives by modeling rack density and leveraging data to compress their space per square foot safely extending the life of facilities and reducing expansion expenses.
